The vineyard : The grapes come from the parcel Fronholz from Epfig with a south exposure and a mixed soil (silica, sandy clay and quartz). It allows elegant and structured wine with a great aromatic maturity.
The wine : 100% Pinot Noir
Wine-making process : The harvest is hand-picked and destemmed. The vatting starts with a cold pre-fermentation maceration with punching and pumping-over once a day to extract the pure fresh fruit. After the malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged in stainless-steel tanks.
Tasting notes : Elegant and fruity. The nose expresses the red fruits (raspberry, wild cherry). Ligh-bodied, fine and smooth, the tannins are silky and the « Pinot » expression at its fullest with the cherry flavours dominant.
