The Nigl winery is located in Senftenberg in the Krems Valley, approx. 70 km west of Vienna. The estate's vineyards are located between Krems and Senftenberg. This results in great differences in the character of the wines.
The weathered primary rock soils are responsible for the delicately floral bouquet typical of the region and the elegant acidity of the wines.
In addition to the natural conditions of the areas cultivated by Martin Nigl, short pruning, targeted foliage work, grape thinning and late harvesting guarantee the high and consistent quality of the wines.
Most of the wines are matured in steel tanks and bottled early in order to preserve their youthfulness and freshness as authentically as possible.
