Martín Berdugo - Single Vineyard Estate is a family wine cellar of Ribera del Duero and Rueda appellations, that for more than 30 years has been committed to 100% organic quality wines produced in a sustainable way only with grapes from its 87 hectares vineyard in a single plot.
In 1988 the Martín Berdugo family recovered viticulture on their ancestral lands. Vines were planted on an alluvial terrace on the banks of the Duero River with an area of 87 hectares. In 2000 it was decided to build a winery at the foot of the vineyard. After a fire and a fresh start in 2013, the opportunity arose to introduce a new gravity-fed winemaking method. This new system avoids damage to the fruit creating a fruitier wine with balanced tannins. In 2017, Martín Berdugo began the transition to 100% organic viticulture which was completed in 2024.
We have received many awards for our wines over the years, most recently including 95 points Wine Enthusiast 2024, Gold Medal Mondial de Bruxelles 2024, Best Wine Japan Wine Challenge 2023 or Best Young Wine Wine Plus 2024.
