Château Anthonic is a family-owned estate, reference in the Moulis-en-Médoc appellation, certified organic since 2019 and a forerunner in Médoc in its agro-ecological practices, especially agroforestry. Merlot has always dominated the wine blend, giving it charm and roundness, while the Cabernet Sauvignon provides additional structure and power. Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot add a touch of complexity. Today we manage the property in agroforestry, a production model which, thanks to the presence of trees, is inspired by the functioning of the forest. Trees allow cooperation between plant species and promote biodiversity. It takes its place in our carbon-fixing agricultural practice, while helping to create, thanks to the trees scattered in the vineyards, a micro-climate in each parcel.
