It was during the harvest in 1981 that Christophe Ferrari fell in love with the noble profession of winegrower. In 1987, after graduating, he moved to Irancy in Yonne (Burgundy) as a young winegrower. From now on, this passion will never leave him. Not having the possibily to benefit from a family inheritance, he has been working to gather two small existing wineries. This is how the Domaine Saint Germain was born, a name chosen in honor of the patron Saint of the village. Christophe Ferrari currently cultivates 23 hectares of vine in Irancy and Chablis. Its winery, the Domaine Ferrari, is located on the Irancy promenade and is easily accessible. At the Domaine Ferrari the quality of the wine is an essential concern. The vinification is carried out in accordance with the Burgundian tradition (manual picking, classic fermentation, aging in oak barrels) combined with the controlled use of some modern techniques aimed at improving the quality of the wines (thermal regulation of the musts in fermentation, vacuum bottling, etc.). Christophe passed on his passion to his son, Nicolas Ferrari who now manages the Estate, and make the wine since 2011. Marie Ferrari, his cousin, recently join them, she is in charge of the marketing-communication development. Taking care of the environment, the Domaine Ferrari is now in organic conversion.
